I have been tattooing since I was 20 and have loved to be able to create unique and creative artwork for clients.
I became passionate about safety when I started to hear stories from clients and friends (mostly woman) about incidents they had where they hadn't felt safe and wished they had tools on hand incase the situation got worse.
It prompted me to start a website and brand that revolved around safety and protecting yourself. I knew that I needed a product that was legal in Nz and Australia whilst also being an item that anyone could have on them and didn't look suspicious.
I was inspired by other artists who had made similar products using their art and wanted to do my own. I added features you would normally find on safety keychains like an alarm which would deter an attacker if the sound went off. I added a little sanitiser pouch for easy use when out and about. It had to also be high quality and easy to use, but my focus was also around making it aesthetically pleasing and almost undetectable to attackers, so it would come as a surprise.
I hope you love this keychain and above all, I really do hope you never have to use it, but if does come to it. Knowing you have a tool which can help is the most important.
